The spacious rooms (the dining room accommodates eight) have tall ceilings and are complemented with antiques and, like the other homes at Settlers Crossing, the interior design is by Marcia Bland Brown. Inviting white wicker furniture on the porch sets off the blue house with white trim. Relax on the front porch and you might get a glimpse of some deer. Take a stroll during the Spring and enjoy the abundant wildflowers. The grand country estate, just minutes from downtown Fredricksburg tx and an hour from Austin and San Antonio, encompasses over 35 acres of towering oak trees, rolling pastures and flower gardens, with Settlers creek meandering through. The setting is complete with Brighty the donkey, a flock of sheep, and our resident native deer roaming free. Children are always welcome (discounted rate $15/child) and we are pet friendly (dogs are welcome with approval $25).
