*** Weekly Rates only April-November, winter weeks are 3-night minimum nightly rate. $100 fee is required for PETS ** The property was designed to create a mini family estate between the main cottage The Stable and Lil Rose, a separate guest room. They evolved over the years from a couples’ retreat to accommodate the family produced by the romantic experience. Dunes were sculpted and extensive plantings of rose bushes, black pine, English oak and olive trees were arranged as if they had always been growing there, protecting the privacy of each cottage. Most people feel that they are in another country when they first experience Lil Rose and we are proud of its uniqueness. The Stable was once a small horse stable. The cottage now consists of a large room divided to provide a smaller room that houses a custom twin bed. During the winter of 2014, a separate cottage (8×10) “Lil Rose” was completed, giving The Stable a very private second bedroom. In the main space there is a Cape kitchen with a 4 burner stove and 1/2 refrigerator, a table for 2 or 3, a queen sized custom platform bed, comfortable couch, stereo TV and DVD player, wi-fi, and lots of windows on the surrounding foliage which includes black pine, olive trees and wild beach plantings. A fireplace was added to the stable, enhancing its off season ambiance! The Stable now works well for a maximum of a couple with two children or an occasional guest but should be “family.” There is a Queen size bed, a Full (Lil Rose) and a Twin available for Guests. There is an inside shower room and a bath room in The Stable. An outside terrace features deck chairs, a picnic table, a charcoal grill, and a very private outdoor shower. Although a dune blocks the Stable from having a bay view, you can hear the surf at night and a private path puts you at the top of the dune in less than a minute. The cottage is fully insulated, the interior has been completely finished in 18th century barn-board painted white.
